Recyclable Art Scholarship
2012 Winners

Nearly 40 high school juniors and seniors from Marathon, Portage, Wood and Taylor counties turned empty aluminum cans, discarded cardboard, broken glass and other recyclable materials into beautiful and very creative works of art as part of the fifth annual IROW Recyclable Art Scholarship Competition. All the artwork was on display at the Wausau Center Mall April 20-22 for thousands of mall visitors to enjoy. The theme for the 2012 contest was “Thinking Outside the Bin.”
 
A panel of independent judges representing area schools and colleges as well as the Woodson Art Museum evaluated each entry. Winners received $1,600 in cash scholarships from IROW. The 2012 winners are listed below.
